This country has so many incredible places to visit that you will never encounter a dull moment. Between the beautiful beaches, Mexican culture and the exciting nightlife, everyone will find something to love here. Let us share a few of our favorite holiday destinations in Mexico that we like to think of as hidden gems!
Vacation in Acapulco
So, what are some of the best areas to check out in Mexico? Well first off, there is Acapulco, which was actually the first Mexican resort town to ever exist. By the 1950s, the town soon garnered a reputation for being a vacation spot for celebrities and millionaires. However, over the years, Acapulco has yet to lose any of its appeal. It is still one of the most popular tourist destinations found in Mexico, as well as a prime spring break destination for many American college students. In fact, today many individuals from all over the globe are acquiring beach homes or oceanfront homes in this area. Today, one of the hottest activities in Acapulco is cliff diving. It’s been a town staple since the 1930s.
Visit Guanajuato
Besides Acapulco, Guanajuato is a popular tourist area in Mexico. Unlike Acapulco, though, Guanajuato is based in the mountains of the Sierra de Guanajuato. Now, it is a beautiful colonial city that has prompted all types of people to look into vacation rentals in Mexico. For those who don’t know, the city first gained notoriety in 1554 when it became one of the richest silver mining spots in the country. Today, Guanajuato doesn’t necessarily attract tourists for its mining history, but instead the colorful alleyways and streets. Also, since there are a bunch of underground tunnels in this town, it is ideal location for pedestrians.
Discover Los Cabos
Lastly, it is not possible to mention hotspots in Mexico without discussing Los Cabos. Whether you are just searching for basic vacation rentals in Mexico or you want something a little more complex like oceanfront homes, Los Cabos has what you need. It is a 20 mile beach town that’s found at the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula. Within Los Cabos, there are so many different activities to participate in. Just to name a few, the city has bars for the older crowds and tons of lakes and oceans to fish in for the more adventurous kind. Plus, you can even watch whales swim around during the winter months. If you are looking for a quieter part of Los Cabos, there is always San Jose del Cabo too, which has a bunch of subdued beach homes.
Mexico is by far the perfect vacation destination. It doesn’t matter if you are visiting for a couple days or are renting a home in the area, there is countless activities to keep you and your loved ones occupied.
